Merry Meet and Welcome to the web site of the
Coven
of Cythrawl,
The main feature of the Coven of Cythrawl is a place for Research into many forms of occult study.
Besides study groups, we still do have working Wiccan Covens and OAM Temples', based in Singapore, which were officially seeded from England and for years now, since a little before 1986, have been operating very quietly in harmony with each other, and it was certainly a big step to go more “public” so to speak, especially being the first here. It was a choice of either opening up and letting people know more about Wicca, or the possibility of some genuine seekers being led astray by “Wiccan Wannabees” without foundation knowledge, or unscrupulous people in it only for money.
A recent Survey
Sez...
"I know religions of the Craft don't actively proselytize or actively seek
members but I think a little more visibility and promotion would do us (Wicca)
good and especially a little more education in Wicca wouldn't hurt."
This further prompted this site to be developed in the hope that it will properly educate interested persons, dispelling the rubbish and instilling the genuine and perhaps attract any first tentative steps into one of the many occult practices and perhaps Wicca itself. It does not constitute any recruitment and actually the Covens are extremely secretative and not easy to penetrate. They now have a policy of being extra careful of whom they open their doors to, which tends to prevent thrill seekers and those without honour in their obligations.
One cannot simply explain the deep mysteries that one would experience within any occult practice and especially within many of the forms of Witchcraft; therefore, our rituals have always been enacted in full, as handed down through our traditional heritages, so that one would actually live the experience in their own private and personal way, which is invoked and activated by effective ritual.
As in anything deeply mystical or magickal, the meaning of such practices cannot be simply communicated intellectually; it has to work through an analogous process within the individual; a stream of symbols, images and experiences, rather than a mere explanation.
Wiccan today are priestesses and priests, initiates to the Ancient Powers and are never laity. They are secretive in their undertakings and do not proselytize, or spend constant hours merely talking about it. The basic message is that, what is fundamental to Wicca is the actual doing of it and no amount of theorising and intellectualisation can substitute for the actual experience.

We have also,
.... a magical society and Research Group, that discusses and investigates the history, culture, and many various occult and magickal doctrines from all around the world,
The Research Group has members from all around the world and they have an interesting chat group, (where people can apply for permission to join) and can be found at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Coven-of-Cythrawl
The Research Group also studies other pragmatic philosophies and magickal sciences from around the world, such as Wicca, Chaos Magic, Druidism, High Magick, Thelema, Voodoo, Shamanism and Chinese Taoist Sciences.
Meanwhile...
... We also offer here a chance to look at some of the aspects and training of "Traditional" Witchcraft, namely the ORDO ANNO MUNDI, (OAM), a very old traditional magical society from Britain in the Ophidian (Serpent-venerating) Traditional Craft, and has an official ancient linage and initiation structure, which has more than 400 initiates around the world, some in Temple structures and others as singletons.
We are all learning the ancient and arcane mysteries whereby one can achieve symbiosis with, and utilize, the wonderful forces of Nature, travel to Otherworlds and begin to merge and harness the truly great timeless Powers of the universe by being a "doer" and not just a "talker" in one's own odyssey of magickal practice.
We have literally been overwhelmed with email and mail and so now have an on-line Yahoo Group Forum and a Research Group.
Who we are? What we do? Why we do it?
