Answer to a question about Christianity - on behalf of Azaz

Merry Meet,
I am posting this on behalf of Azaz, who is away at the moment. It
was an interesting letter that had come in from someone who wrote
personally to Azaz and worthy of note, because of the most welcome
comments the writer offered and especially the answer that Azaz wrote
back. I have added the initial letter first....
Love and Blessings - Willow

>Dear Azaz
>I felt compelled to write to you to say how brilliant your web sight
>is. I found much of the information in one week that had taken me
>years to uncover and more!
>Coming from a strictly christian upbringing, I always felt that the
>teachings of the christian faith were missing important parts. These
>parts would be explanations of nature, love and sex (these parts
>are probably locked away in the vatican, removed by people imposing
>their own beliefs). Living in harmony with everything around us with
>no malice or harm in our hearts. If anything my experience with
>christian faith left me feeling it was the most un-natural way of
>life I could imagine.
>As a child I was always drawn to nature and natural things, stones,
>trees, rivers, being outside as much as possible. I always dreamt of
>running with the wolves, free and wild.
>You stated on your site that there is no such thing as white or
>black magic, only grey, I totally support this view. It is about
>time we realised that all of us have the potential for good or bad
>and it is within our power to choose which path we take, rather that
>keep blaming everything around us for our actions.
>I was also particularly interested in your article on traditional
>old religion which states that world serpent and mother earth
>brought forth three daughters (Lyda, Finda, and Frya), the Mothers
>of the human race. I seem to remember that scientists have recently
>been able to trace through DNA technology, human existence back to
>THREE original women! Spooky ehhhh.
>Anyway a thoroughly enjoyable site packed with great information.
>Best regards
>Tim

Greetings Tim,

Thank you for your very gracious comments regarding the site. I am
trying my best to place pertinent information on the site pages that
encompass a lot of ground, albeit being a little messy, but is my
first attempt after all. Many other sites appear to be stuck in a
groove and full of very personal opinions or silly innocuous Books of
Shadows, which limits the serious seeker and the much wider
perceptions and information that people crave nowadays. I believe I
am placing information that is as broad in spectrum and relevant as I
can get and hopefully filled with information that actually works and
has been tried and tested per se. I make no apology for the way of
presentation and my research, (taken from many years and from around
the world), which discusses serious issues and techniques. It can
only point the way, not do the job and it is up to each and everyone
to walk the walk and try for themselves and certainly is not for a
more than a few of a strange breed of very white (whatever that is),
squeaky clean, fluffy individuals that call themselves Witches
nowadays. Each and every one of us has a balance which constantly
shifts as we learn and work through this thing called life,
constantly interacting with others and a deeply changing world. We
walk a tightrope and balance ourselves accordingly. We are what we
are, and colours (white / black) constantly prattled about simply
shows a little immaturity and only highlight's extremes in polarities
and our perceptions based only upon mere obvious comparisons.

Replying to your comments about Christianity; although I still firmly
believe that Christianity has sat over the Old Religion, like Windows
sits over DOS, and uses it to their own advantage, I try not to
openly knock Christianity, as it still has its strengths as well as
its obvious weaknesses. I do however like to try and guide people
towards historical essentials, inner truths and regularly point out
little known facts to make people "think for themselves" a little
deeper and bring up their own opinions, doubts, and not simply based
on man-made dogmas and faith systems which are not all that they
seem, and certainly not what you are categorically told second hand,
so to speak.

Within Christianity, such religious days as Easter actually comes
from Eoster, a very popular mostly Saxon Goddess of Fertility and
naturally Her symbols were the hare and egg, which were used with
much aplomb in religious ceremony and games in the ancient days.
Actually March 22nd is the earliest date on which this "movable" fest
can fall. The Spring Equinox has, therefore, always been overlaid
and muted by the penitential season of Lent and Holy Week.

Perhaps more obvious is the basic pointing-out that Christ's birth
was never listed or mentioned in the Bible, and merely the powers-to-
be made the birth date 25th December, which of course is totally
fabricated but they actually did a good job in picking that time.
Remember that the 21st December is the Winter Solstice and was a huge
religious ceremony in ancient times, (as from that point on, the days
got longer and people worshiped the Birth of the Sun (not Son). The
cycle was complete and another begins, ad perpetuity – the Sun will
be reborn in another coming, over and over. The Christians had
successfully made their date for the biggest, grandest and most
religious happening of Christianity, (which turns out to be totally
man-made), whilst blocking off totally the Ancient Rites and
replacing them with their own. I will not go on and on with other
samples, but mention it to show hidden truths that people should
know, even if for general knowledge.

In those ancient times however, natural occurrences within Nature and
beyond the stars were looked at as being very much apart of us and
certainly love, sex and relations were open and wholesome and
followed Nature's own course; more natural in themselves and
definitely without the man-made dogma, derision and self-affliction
that the Church placed on them later. Unquestionably, you rightly
note that, living in harmony with everything around us with no malice
or harm in our hearts is and must be the right path to follow. Even
simply reading those words alone makes our inner being lean to those
inherent feelings and deep down we know it is right.

I am always open to new ideas for the site and receive huge amounts
of mail with all kinds of comments, assistance and of course requests
for help in one way or another. I have a Research Group that
discusses all these sorts of issues and started a Chat Group to widen
the circle. Actually, the chat group still finds it hard to start up
sometimes, as people might feel embarrassed to actually ask questions
and remain lurkers. However, the whole idea and its very essence of
being there; is to actually discuss and help each other. I was going
to add your letter to the Group too for interest and perhaps it might
bring more people out of the woodwork and open up hopefully. The
group by the way is found at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Coven-of-Cythrawl/

Once again, thanks for your input and perhaps we will receive some
more feedback on the chat group about the Sisters and the Serpent
Power you brought up, which conjures up emotions of the beginning and
the end, as is Cythrawl, the Alpha, the Omega, (or is it all
simply "the same" and "transitional" and that is why it is so
apparently frightening, or beautiful, or both) – and is there to make
us contemplate much deeper and draw us into rediscovering and using
our natural abilities to link with the Ancient Powers and the
receptive powers of Mother Earth. One cannot simply read about it
and/or preach about the Old Ways. Walking the path, using our inner
and outer perceptions and powers in a harmonious journey with and
within Nature, searching through worlds within worlds, while the
powers move and twist in a curved space and time we cannot fathom,
returning over and over, while ever marching forward. It's a very
personal journey and full of rough riding routes together with soul
soaring tracks, constantly juggling for our discernment and
acceptance, mixed with wondrous perceptions and inner realizations -
but remember it is this journey that ultimately counts.
